FLOOR PROTECTION SHEET
INTRODUCTION:
Floor Protection Sheet (F.P.S) is a specially designed and laminated multilayer self-adhesive, pressure sensitive (PSA) sheet, that can be directly applied on the flooring to protect the flooring from scratches of - sand, metals, cement powder, dust, labour movements, construction materials, equipment movements, POP (Plaster Of Paris) designing works, ceiling and wall painting works, accessories fitting works, furniture works during construction. Floor Protection Sheet is very simple to use, effective to protect the flooring, economical and easy to dispose. Premium Range is used for heavy duty performance.
Floor protection sheets are versatile temporary coverings designed to safeguard various floor surfaces from damage during a wide range of activities. They are typically made from durable materials like polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), or sometimes even recycled materials, and come in different forms such as corrugated sheets, bubble guard sheets, adhesive films, and even heavy-duty boards.
USES AND APPLICATION:
1) Preventing Damage: This is the core purpose. They act as a barrier against Scratches and abrasions from foot traffic, moving furniture, tools, and construction materials, Impacts from dropped tools, heavy equipment, or falling debris, spills and stains from paint, water, oils, chemicals, and other liquids, dirt and debris containing mess and making clean-up easier.
2) Ensuring Safety: Some types offer anti-slip properties, reducing the risk of slips and falls, especially in high-traffic areas or during wet conditions.
3) Cost-Efficiency: By preventing damage, they eliminate the need for costly repairs or replacements of flooring, saving time and money in the long run. Many are reusable, further enhancing cost-effectiveness
4) Maintaining Cleanliness: They help keep the underlying floor clean, significantly reducing post-project clean-up time and effort.
HOW IT WORKS:
1) The area of application should be first cleaned of dust.
2) Remove the roll from the box and remove the roll from the protective cover
3) Place the adhesive part of the roll on the clean flooring where it is to be applied and gently roll over the floor protection sheet roll in forward direction to paste the sheet on the floor.
4) Similarly apply on the side of the applied sticker overlapping approximately quarter inches on sides of applied sheets.
5) See the all the tiles are is covered by the floor protection sheet. Once it is done start working as normal with the painting Plaster Of Paris activity, renovation activity, furniture activity etc.
6) Once all the works are completed after few days, clean off the debris and collectable items on top of the floor protection sheet. Then start peeling off the film from one side carefully to completely remove the applied sticker.
7) Once the sticker is completely removed, clean the flooring with water. The removed sticker can be sold to authorised recycler for recycling.
TYPES:
1) Floor Protection Sheet C - 120 is used for heavy duty application like applied on flooring where the foot fall traffic is high due to multiple activity like painting, finishing, POP, furniture, wiring all activities going on together.
2) Surface Protection Sheet C - 80 is used for protecting the surfaces of doors and windows, glasses of windows , parapet granite and washbasin and other ceramic items

2) Waterproof / Spill-Proof: Prevents liquids like paint, water, oils, solvents, and chemicals from seeping through and staining or damaging the floor. This is a crucial feature for most construction and painting projects.
3) Easy to Clean: Many materials are non-porous and can be easily wiped clean, making clean-up of spills and dirt quick and efficient.
SIZES:
1) Usually sold in rolls of single widths (e.g., 24.5” ) and lengths (e.g., 45m), (i.e. 300 Sq.Ft ) depending on use-case needs
TIPS FOR USE:
1) Ensure the flooring on which the sheet is to be applied is properly cleaned and dust free before applying the protective sheet.
2) Care should be taken that the protective sheets are not damaged by the sharp tools and edges of other materials used during the construction period, as this may lead to scratched sheet which may lead to difficulty in removal of sheets after the final activity is completed.
